March is Women’s History Month, so who better to invite to The Urban Grape than the luscious ladies of LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails). Their motto? Dismantling the patriarchy…one drink at a time! Joining us in hosting duties are two of LUPEC’s finest, Kirsten Amann, the founding member of LUPEC-Boston, and Joy Richard, the Bar and Beverage Manager of Citizen Public House & Oyster Bar.

Despite the raucous fun we’ll be having, we’ll actually take quite a serious look at the role of women in the beverage industry, all while tasting wine, sake and spirits made by companies with women at the helm. Woman vintners, brewers and distillers are taking the beverage world by the…well, you know what we're getting at…and in the process are creating world-class libations. This tasting is all about paying homage to their elixirs.

Learning can be tough work, so it’s best to have a full belly while you’re doing it. Luckily, Joy is bringing Citizen Public's Executive Chef Brian Reyelt to take care of that, and he’ll be pairing small plates with our drinks throughout the evening. Citizen Public is our latest restaurant obsession with modern tavern food and a hand-picked selection of over 100 whiskeys. We’ve had a streak of mouth-watering sliders at our tastings lately, and here’s hoping the trend continues!

**As usual, the event costs $15, but given the theme, we do ask that each of our guests that night please bring a gently used piece of women’s clothing to the store to be donated to Dress for Success.**
